We are a number of individual cat and dog rescue workers. Being based in Lebanon , we are working in almost impossible conditions: the presence of countless homeless cats and dogs, the lack of an animal shelter or animal rights organization, lack of funding, and governmental and public indifference..
Our objectives are
• To find good, lasting homes for the homeless animals we've already rescued.
• To raise funds and seek volunteers in order to rescue more injured and sick homeless animals.
• To combat abusive pet shops and their illegal trade in wildlife.
• To spread awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying/neutering.
• To promote humane values and the ethical treatment of animals (being human is not enough!).
• To promote a cruelty-free, vegetarian diet.
• To seek volunteers' help in all the above.

A Moroccan organisation largely funded by SPANA Great Britain. It has
threeprincipal objectives:
- The welfare of working animals and pets;
- Contribution to the conservation of the Morocco natural heritage and the protection of its biodiversity and sustainable use of its natural resources;
- Education, training and environmental awareness.
In order to carry out its objectives, SPANA has developed regional
Centres which are hospitals and refuges for animals, as well as environmental
education and awareness centres. SPANA is also involved in various
projects of conservation throughout Morocco . |
