Animal welfare societies in the Middle East face a unique set of challenges and opportunities.

The Middle East Network for Animal Welfare is being set up to promote the exchange of news, ideas and lessons learned and to provide a networking forum among animal welfare societies in the Middle East.

We will also include our bordering neighbors. Our first step was to activate www.menaw.net in Arabic/English with financial assistance from Animal People News.In includes,information, regional news and links to Arabic language resource materials, www.menaw.net will include a list of animal welfare societies in the Middle East and contact information.

The subsequent step to organize a conference of Middle East animal welfare societies, with the idea of then forming the Middle East Federation of Animal Welfare Societies.
